DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

1. Policy

Clypso respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Clypso platform (the "Platform") to do the same. Clypso responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").

2. Designated Agent

Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our designated agent at clypsougc@gmail.com. A mailing address for service will be provided on request.

3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a notice of alleged infringement, provide the following in writing to our designated agent:

(a) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;

(b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;

(c) Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the Platform (for example, a URL or profile/listing reference);

(d) Contact information for the complaining party, including address, telephone number, and email;

(e) A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and

(f) A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

4. Our Response to a Valid Notice

Upon receipt of a complete and valid notice, Clypso will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it. Clypso maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

5. Counter-Notification

A user whose content was removed may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent containing:

(a) Their physical or electronic signature;

(b) Identification of the material removed and its location before removal;

(c) A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the user has a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;

(d) The user's name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the user's district (or, if outside the U.S., an appropriate judicial district) and that the user will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Clypso may reinstate the material within 10–14 business days unless the original complaining party notifies Clypso that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from the infringing activity.

6. Misrepresentations

Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

7. No Waiver

Nothing in this policy limits Clypso's right to remove content or terminate accounts for violations of the Terms and Conditions independent of the DMCA process.
